Who we are

What the app stores

Everything you record (accounts, transactions, budgets, receipts and goals) is stored on your device, in an encrypted database whose key is kept in the device’s secure storage.

Using the app needs no account. We receive none of this data.

What the app never does

It has no analytics, telemetry, advertising identifiers or crash-reporting SDKs. We never sell or share your data. A receipt photo is read and then discarded; only the items you save are kept.

Exchange rates

When you ask for exchange rates, the app downloads the public daily rates published by central banks. Every user downloads the same files: no currency pair, amount or anything about you is sent.

Receipts and the assistant

Receipts are read on your device, even with no connection. The photo is never sent anywhere, and it is discarded once read.

The assistant understands your question on your device, from its own words, and sends nothing anywhere; every figure is worked out on your device.

Connected banks

If you connect a bank, your device reads your accounts through your own application at Enable Banking, which the app registers in your name and which reads only the accounts you authorize. To set it up, your email goes to Enable Banking, which sends you a link to sign in and makes you an account there if you had none; with it go your device’s public key and the bank you activate. The key that signs each request is made on your device and never leaves it. Balances and transactions go from your bank, through Enable Banking, to your device: they never reach a server of ours. What Enable Banking does with them is set out in its own terms. Disconnect a bank at any time; the transactions it brought stay.

Sync with iCloud

If you turn on sync with iCloud, your data goes to your own iCloud so your Mac, iPhone and iPad hold the same. Every record is encrypted end to end with a key in your iCloud Keychain: neither Apple nor we can read it, and it never reaches a server of ours. Receipt photos are not synced. Turn it off in Settings at any time; the data on each device stays.

Early access list

If you join the early access list, we keep your email address and language only to tell you when the app launches, and delete them when you ask or once they are no longer needed. Every email carries a link to leave the list.

If you buy {name} for Mac

Payment is handled by Stripe, which acts as the seller: it charges you, works out the taxes and sends your receipt, under its own privacy policy. From Stripe we receive only your email address, to send you the licence through our email provider, Resend, and we keep no list of buyers. The licence carries neither your email address nor your payment details: only an identifier of the purchase.

This website

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. Your choice of language is kept in your own browser. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for a short time for security.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can access, correct, delete, restrict, object to and port the personal data we hold about you. Write to support@bellbolt.com.

You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or to the authority in your country.

Children

Evenwise is not directed at children under 16, and the early access list is only for people aged 16 or over.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
