What’s new
Current version: 1.3.4, from 4 November 2026.
Already have Evenwise? Download it and drag it into Applications over the one you have. Your data, your licence and your settings stay. Evenwise shows its version in its menu, About Evenwise.
Every version
1.3.4 4 November 2026
- Connected banks: give your email, authorize your bank, and Evenwise reads its balances and transactions on this Mac through your own free application at Enable Banking. Nothing passes through us.
- Taxes by your own rules: each category’s VAT, deductible part and withholding, the periods you file, what to set aside and when it is due, a review before filing and a summary for your adviser.
- Market changes show in every list where they belong.
1.3.3 3 November 2026
- Many investment prices at once: paste them, or choose a file from your broker, and see what will be saved before saving it.
- A market change is named by its investment account instead of “Unknown”, and a transaction with a note but no payee shows the note.
- The panel beside the ledger has a close button and closes with Escape; dragged open again, it shows the last transaction.
- On a narrow window the ledger’s bar takes two lines instead of breaking the period into letters.
- iCloud sync stops, rather than mixing data, if this Mac was syncing with another iCloud environment.
1.3.2 2 November 2026
- A product’s names on receipts can be added by hand, edited and removed: the text as the receipt prints it and the shop that prints it.
1.3.1 2 November 2026
- The tabs at the top slide from one to the next, and a section gives way to the next without a jump.
- Charts and progress in the cool colours of the new look; gold is kept for what you choose.
- Cards follow the light or dark mode you use, with no white cards in dark mode nor dark ones in light mode.
1.3 2 November 2026
- New colours: a cleaner light mode, and in dark mode a choice of Midnight or Night in Settings.
- The overview opens on four figures (net worth, spent, income and what is left a day) with your latest transactions as a table.
- Drop-down menus drawn by the Mac itself, rows that open wherever you click, and gentler changes between sections.
- The Evenwise mark at the top takes you back to the overview.
1.2.1 2 November 2026
- Every drop-down drawn cleanly, with one chevron, and the sections as one menu when the window is narrow.
- Amounts take figures only, and dates open a calendar in the look of the app.
- The month-end figure keeps its words inside its ring.
1.2 2 November 2026
- Your data on your Mac, iPhone and iPad through your own iCloud, encrypted end to end, if you turn it on.
- Investments, debts with a plan to pay them off, the months ahead, and taxes for the self-employed quarter by quarter.
- Expenses shared with people and groups, in any currency, and invoices, warranties and contracts kept with their transactions, with a notice before a warranty ends.
- Bring your history from YNAB, Monarch, Spendee, Wallet, Mint or any spreadsheet.
1.1 31 October 2026
- A new look in glass: the places along the top, frosted cards and large figures.
- An overview you arrange: choose its pieces, move them, resize them and make your own figures.
- Accounts, transactions, budget, commitments and reports redrawn for a wide window, with a calendar of what you pay each month.
1.0 31 October 2026
- First version: the whole app on your Mac, with everything in Plus.
- Receipts read on your Mac, your data encrypted and on this Mac only, and a licence that works offline.
